Part-Time Human Resources Director

Newtown Township is now accepting applications for a part-time Human Resources Director. Applicants
should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Administration, or a related field. A minimum
of five (5) years of experience in HR and benefits administration, municipal or public sector experience, is
required; a SHRM certification is preferred. Applicants should possess strong management and
communication skills. The position is a part-time exempt position with a starting salary of $55,000 –
$60,000 annually, based on an anticipated schedule of 20 -25 hours per week. Salary will not be reduced,
or increased, if the actual hours worked are in excess or less than the anticipated schedule.

FIREFIGHTER/EMT

Newtown Township is compiling an eligibility list of potential candidates for the
position of full-time Firefighter/EMT. Qualifying applicants will be required to pass
a written test, physical agility evaluation, background and criminal history
clearance, as well as medical and psychological evaluations.
Qualifying applicants will then proceed to two interviews.

Applicants that successfully pass the Bucks County Fire Consortium Test in
2025 will not need to complete the written test again; their previous results will be
counted.
Applicants are required to possess:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
IFSAC or ProBoard Firefighter 1
IFSAC or ProBoard Hazardous Materials Operations Core
IFSAC, ProBoard or PA DOH Vehicle Rescue Technician
FEMA NIMS Certification ICS100, ICS200, ICS700, ICS800
PA Department of Health EMT-Basic within one year of hire
Minimum of 3 years of fire service experience
Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
Physical and mental fitness to perform the job duties and responsibilities
of a Firefighter/EMT

Pump Operations 1 & 2
IFSAC or ProBoard Fire Inspector 1
Rope Rescue Training

Full Time Public Works Employee

Full Time Public Works Employee – Newtown Township, Bucks County, Pa.
Newtown Township, Bucks County, Pa. is seeking applicants for one (1) Public Works employee.
This is a full-time non-exempt position with benefits and a starting salary of $59,342.40. The
yearly salary rate increases occur annually in incremental steps over the course of 5 years.
Qualified applicants must possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), Class B with Air
Brake endorsement to be considered for this position. Applicants must also have the ability and
willingness to work overtime, including mandatory availability for severe weather or other
emergency events.
Duties include but are not limited to maintenance of all Township roadways, facilities, and
properties. Must also be able to lift 50 lbs and operate major and minor power equipment such
as tractors, backhoes, mowers, etc… Other duties include snow removal operations,
construction, landscaping, paving and concrete repairs, maintenance of inlets and storm drains
and the ability to perform outdoor tasks in extreme weather conditions. Candidates must also be
able to function as a positive and productive member of the Public Works Department.
